# How to send SOL privately in 2026

> A normal Solana transfer links two wallets forever. To send privately you need something in the middle that breaks the trail: an exchange that pays from its own wallet, a hop through Monero, or a privacy pool.

## Why a normal send is not private

Every Solana transfer is public: the wallet it came from, the wallet it went to, the amount and the time, visible to anyone forever. Wallet trackers read this to group wallets that belong to one person. The strongest clue is funding: if your main wallet sends SOL to a new wallet, everyone can see that the new wallet is yours.

Sending privately means the receiving wallet gets SOL from somewhere that is not you, and nothing on chain says where it started.

## Three ways to do it

| Route | How the link breaks | Time | Cost | Who still sees both ends |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Exchange pays | You pay a swap service; an exchange such as Binance or KuCoin pays the other wallet from its own funds | About 30 seconds | 0.35% plus 0.001 SOL | The service and the exchange, while the order runs |
| Through Monero | The SOL is swapped into Monero (or Zcash) and back out to the other wallet | About 5 minutes | 0.7% plus 0.008 SOL, 0.13 SOL at the least | The service, while the order runs |
| Privacy pool | You deposit into Privacy Cash, a zero-knowledge pool; later a withdrawal pays the other wallet with no on-chain link to your deposit | You choose the wait | 0.35% plus 0.006 SOL when it lands | Privacy Cash sees which wallet paid in |

_Fees as Husher and Privacy Cash quoted them on 27 October 2026; both show the exact amount before you pay._

### Exchange pays

A swap service such as Husher takes your SOL and has an exchange pay the receiving wallet. On chain, the money arrives from the exchange's wallet, which pays thousands of people a day, so nothing connects it to you. It is the fastest route and the cheapest, and it is a trust route: Husher and the exchange see both wallets while the order runs, and the service holds your SOL for those seconds.

### Through Monero

Monero hides amounts and addresses by design. Routing through it means the trail on Solana ends at the swap service and starts again from a different payout. It takes longer and has a higher minimum, and the service still sees both ends while it works.

### Privacy pool

[Privacy Cash](/blog/privacy-cash-explained) is a pool on Solana. You deposit, the pool records a secret only you can prove, and later a withdrawal sends to any wallet using a zero-knowledge proof that a deposit exists, without saying which one. No company holds your funds. Its privacy depends on how many other people are in the pool and how long you wait: a withdrawal of the exact amount you deposited, a minute later, is easy to match.

## What still gives you away

None of these routes help if the rest of your behaviour links the wallets:

- **Round, matching amounts.** Sending 10 SOL and receiving 9.964 SOL a minute later is a pattern. Split it into parts, or change the amount.
- **Timing.** A deposit and a withdrawal close together are easy to pair. Wait.
- **Sending it back.** If the private wallet later sends to your main wallet, the link is back.
- **Your IP address.** Services in the middle can log it. A privacy pool's relayer does not hide your network.

## How Raven does it

Raven's Send has a Private option with all three routes. You can split a private send into up to five parts, each paid by its own exchange at its own time, pick which exchange pays or let one be chosen at random, and wait from right away up to a day before it lands. Save the settings you like as a preset and the next private send is one tap. Every route's fee and the amount that lands are in the review before you sign.

## Is it legal?

Moving your own money privately is legal in most places, the same way paying cash is. Some countries regulate or ban specific mixing services, and exchanges may ask where funds came from. Know your local rules.

## Questions

### What is the fastest way to send SOL privately?

Exchange routing: an exchange pays the other wallet about 30 seconds after you pay the service.

### What is the most private way?

A privacy pool you wait in for a while, with an amount that does not match your deposit, gives the least to anyone in the middle, because no company holds the funds or sees both wallets. Routing through Monero is next.

### Can a private send be traced?

The on-chain link is broken, but the service in the middle sees its part, and matching amounts or timing can still give you away. Treat private as harder to follow, not impossible.
