# AI rules and limits

> For each kind of move: off, ask me, or on its own up to an amount, under a daily total.

An example of an AI’s rules:

**What it can do**
- Send: Up to $500
- Swap: Up to $500
- Split: Ask me
- Clean up: On its own
- New wallets: Off
**Limits**
- Daily total: $1,000
- Money can go to: My wallets

## Each kind of move

For send, split, consolidate, swap, clean up and the rest, choose one:

| Setting | What happens |
|---|---|
| Off | The AI cannot do it |
| Ask me | It waits for you: a note, and a card on the AI page with Approve |
| On its own, up to an amount | It runs by itself up to that much each time (from $10). More waits for you. |

## Daily total

The most an AI can move on its own in a day, all kinds of move together. Asks you approve do not count against it.

## Never touch

A list of wallets and coins the AI can never move, whatever else you allow.

## Changing the rules

Letting an AI do less saves the moment you change it. Letting it do more waits for your password. Every change that needs it is marked, and **Save** lists them before it asks.

## The log

Every read, move and refusal, newest first. Open a line to see what was asked and what happened.

## Cutting an AI off

Cut one AI off, or all of them, from the AI page. It loses its connection at once. On two devices, an AI cut off on either stays cut off.

## Under the hood

- **Rules live in your vault**: Your AI rules are settings, locked in your vault. The server cannot loosen them, because it cannot open the vault.
- **Less is instant, more needs you**: Tightening a rule saves at once. Loosening one needs your password, so an AI, or someone at your unlocked screen, cannot widen its own reach.
