# Exchange pays

> An exchange pays your other wallet out of its own money, so nothing on chain joins the wallet that paid and the wallet that gets it. It lands in about 30 seconds.

### Exchange pays

*Fast order through Husher*

Raven places an order with Husher and pays it. An exchange then pays your other wallet from its own funds, like any of the thousands of withdrawals it makes every day.

| | |
|---|---|
| Lands in | About 30 seconds |
| Husher’s cut | About 0.35% + 0.001 SOL |
| Exact amount | 0.8% |
| Raven’s fee | 0.2% |
| Still sees both ends | Husher and the exchange |

## How the money moves

Two payments that never touch. Your wallet pays Husher, and an exchange pays your other wallet. What joins them happens off chain, where nobody reading the chain can see it.

**On chain · anyone can read it**
- Your wallet (7xKX…9fGh) → 2.5 SOL → Deposit address (used once) / no link on chain / Exchange wallet (pays out) → 2.49 SOL → Your other wallet (Hq3P…2mVd)

**Off chain · the chain cannot see it**
- Husher (takes the order) → settles → The exchange (settles with Husher)
- Deposit address → order → Husher
- The exchange → pays out → Exchange wallet

Nothing on chain joins the wallet that paid to the wallet that got paid.

## Who sees what

The chain shows two separate payments. Only the two companies that carry the order can put them together.

| Who | Paying wallet | Other wallet | Can link them |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Anyone reading the chain | sees | sees | no |
| Husher | sees | sees | yes |
| The exchange that pays | sees | sees | yes |
| Raven’s server | sees | sees | While placing it |

## Step by step

1. **You pick Exchange pays.** On a private send, split or consolidate. You choose who pays: the best rate, an exchange you pick, or a random one.
2. **Raven places the order.** Raven’s server asks Husher for an order in its own name: how much, and the wallet it lands in.
3. **Your browser checks it.** The amount, where it lands, the deposit address and Husher’s cut must match what you asked, or nothing is paid.
4. **Your wallet pays the deposit.** One plain SOL transfer, signed in your browser.
5. **An exchange pays it out.** From its own wallet to yours. Raven follows the order and shows you the payout’s transaction.

## Exact or market

Market is cheaper and lands about the amount. Exact lands exactly the amount you typed, for a fixed 0.8%.

| | What lands | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Market | About the amount, moving a little with the price | The exchange’s cut, shown before you send |
| Exact | Exactly the amount you typed | 0.8% |

## Under the hood

- **Placed in Raven’s name**: The order goes to Husher from Raven’s server, so your IP address never reaches Husher.
- **Checked before paying**: The key worker refuses an order of another kind, for another amount, landing anywhere else, asking you to pay one of your own wallets, keeping far more than Husher’s usual cut, running out too soon to pay, or paid by another exchange than you picked.
- **One plain transfer**: The deposit is a System Program transfer, built and signed inside your browser. Nothing stays open afterwards.
- **Followed to the end**: Raven reads the order until the payout lands, then shows its transaction.

> **Note:** Husher and the exchange see both wallets while the order runs. The chain does not.
