### Swap

*Coin to coin, through Jupiter*

Raven asks Jupiter for the best route across Solana’s markets, checks it, and builds the swap itself.

| | |
|---|---|
| Raven’s fee | 0.4%, its own line on the review |
| Stable to stable | Free |
| Jupiter’s fee | None |
| Many wallets | Each pays its own amount |

## How to swap

1. **Tap Swap on a wallet.** Or tick several wallets first.
2. **Pick what you pay and what you get.** Search a coin by name, or paste its address.
3. **Type how much.** With many wallets, each one pays its own amount.
4. **Set the slippage if you want, then review and swap.**

## How a route is checked

- Your wallet (pays the coin) → ask → Jupiter (best route) → route → Route check (in your browser) → signed → Solana (test run, then sent)

A route that asks for more than the swap is never signed.

## Slippage

Slippage is how far the price may move between the review and the swap landing. If it would move further, the swap does not go through and nothing is spent but the network fee.

## Under the hood

- **Raw instructions**: Jupiter hands back its route as instructions, not a ready transaction. Raven puts them into its own transaction, so it decides what else goes in.
- **The route check**: The swap must call Jupiter’s own program, for exactly the amount you typed, with no signer but your wallet and its fee payer. Setup steps may only be the kinds a swap needs, such as opening your coin account.
- **Lookup tables from the chain**: A route uses address tables to fit. Raven reads those tables from the chain itself, not from the route.
- **The test run**: The swap is simulated before signing: the coin you get must land in your wallet, and nothing else may leave it.
