### New wallets

*Up to 1,000 per account*

Make one wallet or many in one go. Each gets a name and lands in the folder you pick, ready to use.

| | |
|---|---|
| Wallets per account | Up to 1,000 |
| Keys come from | Fresh keys or a seed phrase |
| Phrase derivation | The same as Phantom’s |
| Made in | Your browser |

## Make wallets

1. **Open New wallets.** From the wallet list, or press Ctrl K and type New.
2. **Choose how many.** One, or many in one go.
3. **Name them.** Type names, or let Raven number them.
4. **Pick a folder and where the keys come from.** Then make them.

| Source | What you get |
|---|---|
| Fresh keys | Each wallet gets its own new key |
| Your account’s phrase | The next wallets on your 12 words |
| A new seed phrase | New 12 or 24 words, and wallets made from them in order |

Past 1,000 wallets, Raven tells you how many still fit and adds nothing.

## Freeze, rename, delete

- **Freeze** a wallet so nothing can move out of it until you unfreeze it.
- **Rename** it any time. The name is only yours; it is never on chain.
- **Delete** it after typing its name. Empty it first with [Retire](https://ravenwallet.pro/docs/retire) or [Consolidate](https://ravenwallet.pro/docs/consolidate).

## Under the hood

- **Fresh keys**: Each key is an ed25519 key pair made from your browser’s secure random numbers (WebCrypto), inside the key worker.
- **Seed phrases**: Wallets from a phrase follow SLIP-0010 for ed25519 on Solana’s path, m/44’/501’/n’/0’, every step hardened. It is the path Phantom uses, so a phrase opens the same wallets in Raven and in Phantom.
- **Saved locked**: A new key goes into your vault, which is locked again before it is saved. See [How your keys are kept](https://ravenwallet.pro/docs/keys).
- **Names stay private**: Names and folders live inside your locked vault. Raven’s server only sees them when you connect an AI, so the AI can be answered.
