Move everything from many Solana wallets into one
To consolidate, every wallet sends its coins and SOL to one wallet, closes its empty token accounts for the rent, and sends its last SOL with the fee taken into account, so it ends at exactly zero.
What a full sweep involves
Emptying a wallet properly is more than one send. For each wallet:
- Move the coins. Each coin goes to the receiving wallet. If the receiving wallet has never held that coin, a token account is opened there first, holding about 0.0015 SOL of rent.
- Close the empty token accounts. Once a coin has left, its account in the old wallet is empty and can be closed. Each one returns its rent, 0.0015 to 0.002 SOL, depending on when it was opened.
- Send the SOL, all of it. The last send has to leave exactly zero, so the amount is the balance minus the fee for that transaction. A wallet can hold zero or at least 0.00065 SOL, never something in between, so a send that leaves a few lamports behind is refused.
Done in that order, the old wallet ends with nothing in it and every lamport of rent ends up in the receiving wallet.
Wallets with coins but no SOL
A wallet needs SOL to pay its own network fee. If a wallet holds only coins, another wallet can pay the fee for it: any wallet can be a transaction’s fee payer. That is what a gas wallet is for.
Doing many wallets at once
Each wallet has to sign its own transfers, but one transaction can carry several wallets' signatures, so a consolidation of 20 wallets does not have to be 20 transactions. By hand in a normal wallet app, though, it is one wallet at a time: switch, send the coins, close the accounts, send the SOL, switch to the next.
The privacy cost
Sweeping wallets into one links all of them in any wallet tracker: they all sent everything to the same place. If those wallets were meant to stay unrelated, consolidate through a private route, or accept the link.
How Raven does it
Consolidate takes any wallets you select and moves everything into one, coins and all: it opens the token accounts the receiving wallet needs, closes the empty ones left behind, and takes each wallet to exactly zero. Wallets holding only coins borrow fees from your gas wallet. The review shows what each wallet sends and what arrives, including the rent that comes back, before you sign.
Questions
Why can’t I send my whole SOL balance?
The fee for the send comes out of the same balance. Send the balance minus the fee, and the wallet ends at zero.
Do I lose anything by closing token accounts?
No, as long as they are empty. Closing returns their rent and the account can be opened again later if you receive that coin.
Will the old wallet still exist?
Its address always exists as a key, and you can send to it again. On chain, an account with zero SOL is removed until something is sent to it.
