Send SOL to many wallets at once
One Solana transaction can pay about 20 wallets at once, so splitting SOL across 20 wallets takes one signature and costs a fraction of a cent. A new wallet needs at least 0.00065 SOL or the transfer is refused.
How many transfers fit in one transaction
A Solana transaction can be at most 1,232 bytes. Each SOL transfer to a new address adds the address (32 bytes) and a short instruction, so after the signature, the fee settings and the recent block hash, about 20 transfers fit in one transaction. More than that takes several transactions, each with its own signature.
| Wallets to pay | Transactions | Network fee at the base rate |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | 1 | 0.000005 SOL |
| 20 | 1 | 0.000005 SOL |
| 50 | 3 | 0.000015 SOL |
| 100 | 5 | 0.000025 SOL |
Solana’s base fee is 5,000 lamports per signature; priority fees, if you add them, are extra.
What a new wallet needs
A wallet that has never held SOL does not exist on chain yet. The first transfer creates it, and it must leave at least the rent-exempt minimum in it: 0.00065 SOL today. A transfer of less to a new wallet is refused by the network.
Sending coins rather than SOL costs more: each receiving wallet needs a token account for that coin, and opening one holds about 0.0015 SOL of rent. The sender usually pays it.
Ways to do it
Multisender tools
Websites called multisenders take a list of addresses and amounts and build the transactions for you. Most charge per address, from about 0.0001 to 0.002 SOL each, on top of the network fee. For 100 wallets that is 0.01 to 0.2 SOL in fees.
Before you connect, check the transaction preview: it should only send what you listed to the addresses you listed.
By hand
Any wallet app can send to one address at a time. Twenty wallets is twenty sends, twenty fees and twenty chances to paste the wrong address.
In Raven
Split takes one wallet and spreads it across up to 20 others in one review: pick existing wallets or make new ones on the spot, and see every line before you sign. Split works for SOL and for coins, and the review includes the rent new accounts need.
Keep the wallets separate if it matters
Splitting from one wallet links every receiving wallet to it, permanently, in any wallet tracker. If the new wallets are meant to look unrelated, fund them through a private route instead. See how to send SOL privately.
Questions
What is the cheapest way to send SOL to many wallets?
One transaction per 20 wallets, which costs 0.000005 SOL in network fees per transaction. Tools that charge per address cost more than the network itself.
Why did my send to a new wallet fail?
The amount was below 0.00065 SOL, the minimum a new wallet must hold, or the sending wallet did not have enough left for the fee.
Can I send different amounts to each wallet?
Yes. Each transfer in the transaction has its own amount.
