Solana swap fees compared: wallets and trading apps in October 2026
On Solana, wallets charge from 0% to 0.875% a swap and trading terminals about 1%. Backpack and Solflare add nothing of their own, Jupiter Mobile charges 0.1% to 0.2% on most pairs, Raven 0.4%, Phantom 0.85%.
The short version
Every app that swaps coins for you can add its own fee on top of the route. On Solana that fee ranges from nothing to about 1%, and it is the biggest cost of a swap for most people, far more than the network fee.

Fees you pay everywhere
The app’s fee is not the only cost:
- Network fee. Solana’s base fee is 0.000005 SOL per signature, plus any priority fee to get in faster. A fraction of a cent for a normal swap.
- Pool fees. The pools the route trades through take their own small cut, usually inside the quote.
- Price impact and slippage. A big trade in a small pool moves the price. This depends on the coin, not the app.
- New token accounts. Receiving a coin you have never held opens a token account, which holds about 0.0015 SOL of rent. You get it back when you close the account.
Why fees differ so much
Swaps are how most wallets make money; Phantom’s main income is its swap fee. Apps at 0% make their money elsewhere, from an exchange, a token or other products. Trading terminals charge more because they sell speed and tools for fast trading, and most of their users trade often.
What to pick
- You swap rarely and want one simple wallet: the fee barely matters; pick the wallet you like.
- You swap every day: a 0% to 0.4% wallet saves thousands of dollars a year over 0.85% to 1%.
- You trade new coins within seconds of launch: terminals charge 1%, but their speed is what you are paying for.
- You run many wallets: the cost of moving SOL between them matters as much as the swap fee. Sends are free everywhere; it is the time that costs. See how to manage many Solana wallets.
