Five steps
- Sign upUse Google, or an email and a password of at least 12 characters. Raven turns down the passwords guessed first, like one word with a number on the end.
- Keep your 12 wordsRaven shows them once. They are the other way into your wallets: with them you can open everything again and set a new password. Write them down and keep them where only you can reach.
- Make a walletOpen New wallet. Make one or many at once, name them, and put them in a folder. Already have wallets in Phantom? Import them instead.
- Add SOLOpen a wallet and tap Receive for its address and a QR code. Send SOL to it from an exchange or another wallet.
- Make your first moveTry Send, or Split to spread SOL across many wallets. Turn on Private to send so nobody can follow it.
Note: Your password locks your keys. Raven never sees it and cannot reset it for you.
Warning: Without your password or your 12 words, nobody can open your wallets, us included.
Under the hood
- Your keys are made here
- The first wallet’s key and your 12 words are made in your browser from its own secure random numbers.
- Locked before saving
- Your password is stretched with PBKDF2-SHA256 over 600,000 rounds into a key that locks the vault with AES-256-GCM. Only the locked vault is saved, on your device and on Raven’s server.
- A proof, not your password
- To sign you in later, your browser sends a separate proof stretched from your password. The password itself never leaves.
